Shalini Vivek

My name is Shalini Vivek.  I joined PSU in 2014 as a Staff Attorney with Student Legal Services.  I was happy to become a member of AAUP from the beginning because I knew union membership afforded greater protection at a job, especially in a big institution like PSU.  In my day-job, I represent students with workplace issues, fighting for equity and justice. When the opportunity arose to become a member of the collective bargaining team, to fight for equity and fairness for myself and my colleagues, I decided to volunteer.  It’s been an exciting few months as I’ve met many of our hard-working and dedicated members during the listening sessions. I would encourage everyone to visit our union webpage and connect with your unit representatives regarding any issues that the union should address.   I look forward to working towards our common goals in the upcoming year!
