NEW Interim VP for Membership & Organizing

On December 22, 2023, the Executive Council voted in an Interim Vice President of Membership & Organizing, Cristina Restad!

Cristina is an Academic Professional in the School of Business Administration with previous EC experience as a Councilor-at-Large and an active member of our Organizing Committee. As VP for Membership & Organizing, Cristina will work alongside our new staff organizer, Jonathan, to build and maintain the membership of the chapter through internal organizing.

We also want to thank the previous VP for Membership & Organizing, Óscar Fernández, for his service to PSU-AAUP.

It has been my honor to organize actions and events with academic professionals and faculty during the past 1.5 years. Despite the many work-related challenges we face at PSU, we serve our students and the University's core mission. As bargaining starts this summer 2024, I urge you and your colleagues to engage directly with our union (e.g., read our newsletters, sign up for committees, attend rallies, poster the campus, nominate yourself for leadership positions). When it comes to bargaining, this is my mantra: "United we bargain, divided we beg."
