The Executive Council voted to endorsed the 2015 Labor Notes Troublemakers School. The school will be held on Saturday, May 30th from 9am-5pm. The 2015 Troublemakers will draw on the experience of local labor and community campaigns and successful struggles around the country. One of our own members, Julie Esparza-Brown, Associate Professor in the Department of Special Education in the Graduate School of Education is running for Portland Public School Board in Zone 1 (Southwest Portland). We admire Dr.Brown's commitment to our Portland community. If elected, Dr.Brown would be the first Latina to serve on the PPS Board.
