Announced February 1, 2016
The Graduate Employees Union is made up of over 800 PSU grads performing essential teaching, research, and administrative support work on campus, who have come together to form a union to address serious issues with their employment that hinder their ability to do the top-notch work that students and the people of Oregon expect and deserve.
On Monday, February 1st, members delivered a letter to PSU President Wim Wiewel introducing themselves and asking him to pledge to not interfere in any way in the formation of their union. They've already spoken to hundreds of grad employees on campus, and it’s clear that organizing a union is the right way forward.
