Introducing Mark Leymon

My name is Mark Leymon and I’m an Assistant Professor in Criminology and Criminal Justice. I arrived at Portland State 6 years ago. It is an honor to be PSU-AAUP member. I’ve been a long-time labor activist and served on leadership positions at other unions in the past. Unions give voice to those on the ground. It gives me comfort knowing that my union has my back and gives me the opportunity to focus on scholarship and teaching. I’ve volunteered as a PSU-AAUP Unit
Rep and I enjoy the sense of community that my union gives me.
