Introducing Holly Hein

I’m Holly Hein, a coordinator at the Regional Research Institute in the School of Social Work. I came to PSU in an SEIU-represented position, then switched roles a few years ago and joined AAUP as an Academic Professional. Some AAUP benefits I truly appreciate are: full health benefits while working half-time or more, the compassion and security of the sick leave bank, and funding for individual professional development so I can attend a writing conference next spring! I am happy to support our union as a Unit Rep for my department. I am also attending orientations for new employees, helping to answer any questions they might have about our union and to welcome them as new AAUP members. For me, AAUP engagement is a way to strengthen connections across campus and to support the larger PSU community of students and workers.
