Introducing Courtney Bailey

Hi, I’m Courtney Bailey. I work as a Student Organizations Advisor for all the arts, advocacy, and political organizations in Student Activities and Leadership Programs.  I joined AAUP when I first arrived at PSU almost five years ago, because I had just come from another college where we organized, bargained, and went on strike for our first contract. Through that process, I saw the power of collective action towards social change and democracy, not only for us, but for students.  Our union has also provided me with a community in a place that, because of its size, can feel isolating.  I’m grateful for the network of colleagues and friends I have made through AAUP and the incredible strength of our long-standing union.
