The ballot for the MOA addressing the Effects of the Implementation of the Principal Investigator/Project Director Eligibility and Responsibility Policy will open tomorrow, Tuesday January 7, 2020 at 8am. The PI policy outlines who is eligible to submit and manage externally funded sponsored projects (grants) as the Principal Investigator (PI) or Project Director. The MOA outlines details on how the policy will be implemented. Most notably if you are currently serving as PI for a grant you will continue to serve as PI on that grant. If you are not automatically eligible to serve as PI for a grant (tenure line faculty, and NTTF research faculty are automatically eligible) the process for obtaining approval is outlined. Most people will not notice a change under this policy, as this was practice in most situations. A small number of people who have previously applied for grants may need to obtain approval under this policy.
The ballot will be open for 15 days and close on Wednesday January 22, 2020 at 5pm. Members of record through today, January 6, 2020, will be invited to vote on the ballot. This is an online ballot at electionbuddy.com, and members eligible to vote will receive an invitation to vote from electionbuddy.com when the ballot opens tomorrow morning at 8am.
Members who have not voted their ballot will receive reminders to vote every 15 days through the open ballot period. We encourage all members to vote as soon as possible. Voting takes seconds.
You will be voting on this MOA: The MOA on the Effects of the Policy.
