Thanks to the affiliate agreement with AFT National, which became effective August 1, 2022, we are now connected to an even larger group of sister locals organizing to achieve important goals.
By becoming active as a Chapter in AFT-Oregon, we can expand our influence and all move forward together.
AFT-Oregon Biennial Convention: April 28-30 in Sun River!
As part of the AFT-Oregon network, we are entitled to send delegates to this April's statewide convention. This is an important opportunity to build relationships and to be part of making important decisions about the organization. This includes votes that will be taken at this convention on important proposed changes to the AFT-OR constitution and bylaws, as well as resolutions put forth by the 24 member locals from around the state. Convention delegates can attend in person or via Zoom.
Nominations Now Open
Nominations for PSU-AAUP delegates to the AFT-OR Convention are now open. Delegates must be dues-paying members of PSU-AAUP in good standing.
To nominate yourself or a colleague (with their knowledge, please), simply email aaup@psuaaup.net.
The deadline to submit nominations is Monday, March 20 at 3:00PM.
Election Dates
The vote to elect convention delegates will begin on Wednesday, March 22 at 9:00AM and will conclude on Monday, March 27 at 3:00PM. As always, the election will be conducted by ElectionBuddy, a secure third-party election service.
Once the election is over, we'll announce the results to you and then send our list of delegates to the AFT-OR convention organizers.
