Colleagues,
We are there; we are on the cusp of our bright future. To get there we must make the right presidential hire, we must continue to engage in questioning the University’s budget and enrollment narratives, and we must continue to engage in pushing for the bright future that we see possible.
In the past week, we have welcomed two prospective presidential candidates to Portland State who shared their energy, perspectives, experiences, and visions for our PSU and Portland community. I am certain that the Board of Trustees has heard our calls for a bright future for PSU.
Our work is not finished.
Our PSU and Portland community is only as strong as the involvement and feedback we provide. The Board of Trustees would like as much faculty, staff, and student feedback as possible to guide their decision making in this hire, and they will be moving very quickly with this discussion and decision.
