PSUFA solidarity

November 10, 2025 / PSU-AAUP

In August, the adjunct faculty union (PSUFA), filed an Unfair Labor Practice (ULP) complaint against PSU after they cut off funding to the Adjunct Financial Assistance Fund  for economic hardship, the Professional Development Fund, the Faculty Education Fund, and union release, citing the expiration of the PSUFA Collective Bargaining Agreement. Nearly 100 adjuncts were affected by PSU's unlawful conduct. Some were anticipating funds for educational opportunities they had already paid for, to make up for lost income from canceled classes, pay their rent, and cover other urgent emergencies. On October 3, The Employment Relations Board of the State of Oregon agreed that PSU violated labor law and engaged in bad faith bargaining and the Board ordered the University to release the funds they owe to adjuncts! PSUFA members and other campus workers in solidarity with them marched on the boss on October 16 to deliver ERB's ruling to Ann Cudd and to send a powerful message that we will resist this administration's union busting agenda.

Adjunct faculty call on their full-time counterparts to show up in solidarity to PSUFA bargaining sessions and bolster their call for a fair contract.

During week 8 adjunct faculty and student workers are jointly hosting a PSU WORKER VENT TENT! Stop by the tent from 10-4 in the Smith-Cramer Atrium and vent to your adjunct and student co-workers about your boss and working conditions at PSU. Tea and tissues provided!
