A judge Tuesday ordered that Greg Porter -- the 61-year-old man accused of intentionally driving into three pedestrians at Portland State University -- be sent to the state mental hospital for a evaluation into whether he’s mentally fit to be criminally prosecuted.
Multnomah County Circuit Judge Nan Waller ordered that Porter be sent to the Oregon State Hospital after a mental health expert or experts hired by his defense lawyer determined that he is mentally unfit to be criminally prosecuted because he’s incapable of meaningfully making decisions about his case.
