The number of Oregonians studying full-time at the state's seven public universities fell to its lowest level in a decade this fall, newly released data show.
As of this fall, 51,152 Oregonians were studying full-time at the state's seven four-year schools, according to enrollment numbers published this week by the Oregon Higher Education Coordinating Commission. The declines are negligible -- full-time figures dropped by roughly six-tenths of one percentage point -- but it's a trend that predates the 2008 recession.
