Cristina Restad GoFundMe

Since 2019, Cristina has been a dedicated leader in our union, serving as our Vice President for Membership and Organizing as well as representing PSU-AAUP at the state and national levels. She has spent years building our membership, the power of academic professional colleagues, and advocating for our PSU-AAUP family. Today, she is in the fight of her life, and it’s our turn to show her that same solidarity.

Since July, Cristina has been battling Stage 3 cancer while balancing life as a mom to her 6-year-old daughter. In an unfathomable turn of events, Cristina is also serving as the primary caregiver for her mother, who was recently diagnosed with inoperable Stage 3 lung cancer.

While Cristina is incredibly grateful for the support of the AAUP Sick Leave Bank, her treatment continues with two upcoming surgeries this spring. We have started a GoFundMe to help ease the financial burden of this double-medical crisis so she can focus on healing and caregiving. Let's show her she isn't fighting this alone.
