Nominations for PSU-AAUP Vice President for Grievances and Academic Freedom are now open! Nominations can be submitted via email at nominations@psuaaup.net now through June 6th at 5pm.
We’ll be electing one (1) person to serve from the date elected to the date listed:
- Vice President for Grievances and Academic Freedom (1 course release per academic term) (position ending April 30, 2027)
One of the eight officer positions on the Executive Council. This VP works closely with the Association Executive Director and is eligible for release time to facilitate the performance of grievance officer duties for the Association. The VP acts as the chief dispute resolution officer for the Association; they meet with members about work issues, represent members in grievance meetings, and participate in other kinds of meetings with management.
The Executive Council currently meets bi-weekly during the academic year on Thursdays from noon-1:30 pm and less frequently during the summer.
You can nominate yourself or nominate a colleague who is willing to serve by emailing their names to nominations@psuaaup.net.
All nominees will be contacted to confirm their acceptance of their nomination and offered an opportunity to submit a 150-word statement of candidacy.
Nominations timeframe:
- June 6th - Nominations close at 5pm
- June 13th - Candidates' names and bios sent to membership
- June 16th - Ballots open
- June 30th - Ballots close
