As one of our Councilor At Large members has just stepped into the role of Treasurer, we are now accepting nominations for PSU-AAUP Councilor at Large! Nominations can be submitted via email at nominations@psuaaup.netnow through December 1st.
We’ll be electing one (1) person to serve from date elected to the date listed:
- Councilor At Large (position ending April 30, 2027)
Councilors At Large are not officers of the Association, and these are not normally release time positions. Their participation is generally limited to Executive Council deliberation and decision-making and reading and responding to emails from leadership and members. Most Councilors At Large, however, assume other duties on behalf of the Executive Council such as leading caucus meetings or representing PSU-AAUP in forums off campus. Councilors are invited to participate in all organizing and contract action.
The Executive Council traditionally meets bi-weekly on Thursdays from 12:00PM to 1:30PM and less frequently during the summer. Scheduling for this winter and beyond may vary!
You can nominate yourself or nominate a colleague who is willing to serve by emailing their names to nominations@psuaaup.net.
All nominees will be contacted to confirm their acceptance of their nomination and offered an opportunity to submit a 150-word statement of candidacy.
Proposed Nominations timeframe (subject to change):
- Mon. December 1st - Nominations close
- Mon. December 8th - Candidates' names and bios sent to membership
- Mon. December 8th - Ballots open
- Tues. December 23rd - Ballots close
Details about our nominations and elections processes are in the PSU-AAUP Constitution & Bylaws. Should you have any questions about the Association or the open positions, you can contact any of the current executive council members, or the Nominations Committee.
We look forward to hearing from you!
