At a special meeting on July 21, the Portland State Board of Trustees approved a resolution to lower the planned tuition increase set for Fall term.
After passing an Oregon Senate bill that adds an additional $70 million to Oregon's higher education budget, the BOT's new increase resolution replaces a prior resolution that increased PSU's tuition 8.9 percent. This prior resolution was already approved by the Oregon Higher Education Coordinating Commission in May.
