A work session in the House Education Committee on HB 3007, the part-time faculty healthcare bill, ended with a unanimous vote in support of it. The bill’s next stop is the Ways and Means Committee, which needs to approve the cost of the bill.
SB 712, the HECC voting rights bill, is scheduled for a work session on March 15.
On March 11, the House heard testimony on HB 2349, which permits adopted former foster children to receive a waiver of tuition and all fees if they attend defined institutions of higher education for purposes of pursuing an initial undergraduate degree.
