The Retirement Transition Program (RTP) Memorandum of Agreement has been ratified by the membership, with over 97% approval of those who voted. The full results of the ballot can be viewed here.

This MOA establishes a new Retirement Transition Program (RTP) for PSU-AAUP members from AY 2025–26 through AY 2027–28, expanding the previous retirement program into two structured options. Eligible members (55+ or with 30 years of uninterrupted PSU service and fully vested in PERS or ORP) may choose: (1) a one-year redistribution option that allows up to 50% of teaching and/or service to be reassigned to other duties in the final year; or (2) a phased FTE reduction option over up to three years at either 0.75 or 0.50 FTE, with proportional reductions in duties and continued full healthcare benefits (with other salary-based benefits prorated). Both options require an irrevocable Retirement Transition Agreement (RTA).
