Scores of demonstrators descended on a Portland State University board meeting Thursday morning, calling for the disarmament of the school's police force, whose officers shot and killed a man this summer.
The Board of Trustees meeting came amid outcry over the fatal police shooting of Jason Washington, a husband and father of three who was killed June 29 while witnesses say he tried to break up a fight.
