There are just days left until July 1st when administration is contractually supposed to implement bilingual pay. This new benefit is a piece of what we won days before the second-ever strike vote in PSU history. With just two weeks until administration is supposed to have this benefit up and running, academic professionals are facing a concerning amount of procedural obstacles in accessing bilingual pay despite these concerns being shared in multiple labor-management committee (LMC) meetings and the Board of Trustees. In this context, we’ll be doing a sticker-up action at commencement around the pushback academics professionals are experiencing in accessing bilingual pay.
