Chelsea Vincenzi, 27, sent another $3,600 to Marylhurst University in April. In all, the single mother from Milwaukie has spent $50,000 to obtain a degree in creative writing and English.
Weeks later came the stunning news: After decades of operation, Marylhurst was closing. If Vincenzi was to get her creative writing degree, it would have to be from another college.
